The avocados sold in Canadian supermarkets are roughly 8-10cm along their longest dimension. So this is the first time I have seen grapefruit-size avocados. For a second I thought the reading on the scale with the avocado was 135kg. But at 1.35kg the avocado is still pretty big.

Those are either hass or fuerte avocados. These are local ones. Big and tasty

what was your goal for time in the US? Is Australia an option for a visit? Nice to know that you're a dad. And yes that is the biggest Avocado i have ever seen. We love them and grow more than we need in Australia so that is hard on the farmers who can't get them to market.

I buy avocados that size in st Lucia in the Caribbean, they don't have as much flavour as the Haas variety though.

This is very very tasty. I will slice one for you. We cut down avocados that are not tasty

Your area could become a powerhouse of agricultural production with some access to modern farming equipment & techniques. It'll be a reason to keep you down, the rest of us wouldn't like the competition. Nice looking fruit!
